Youth Tournament Rules

1. The USBC Youth rules and regulations will govern this tournament. The USBC Code will be enforced; and infractions will disqualify the entrant from any and all awards. This tournament will be sanctioned.
2. All participants must be a USBC Youth member and must be a registered member of a league within the jurisdiction of their Association, Entering average will be the 2007-2008 ending yearbook average. If a bowler does not have a yearbook average they will use their current average based on 12 games. Bowlers whose current average is more than 10 pins higher than their yearbook average will use their current average. A bowler with no qualifying average will bowl scratch. All 11 and under entrants will bowl a 3 game qualifier with the top 3 bowlers a 1 game roll off to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. All 21 and under entrants will bowl a t game qualifier moving 1 pair of lanes to the right after each game. The top 5 bowling a TV style roll off to determine the 1st thru 5th place winners.
3. Check-in time will begin 1 hour prior to the schedule time to bowl. Late arrivals will start in the frame the other bowlers are in. Zero score will be given for the missed frames.
4. There will be no smoking, drinking or cursing by anyone in the bowling center. No food or drink in the bowling pit area.
5. The Tournament director will decide on all disputes, complaints and protests, and will enforce all the rules in the spirit of USBC Youth competition.
6. Trophies will be awarded to each of the winning entrants as will the scholarships for 1st thru 3rd place in each division.
7. No scores will be official until director verifies scores and average.
8. Handicap will be figured on a 80% of 200 for all bowlers.
9. The tournament will be in two divisions: 11 & under and 21 & under. A bowler under 11 may enter the 21 and under division. Bowlers cannot enter both divisions.
