Carlos Nieves started the title shootout with the front nine, finishing with 276+17=293 to win his first club title! Carlos has been 'knocking on the championship door' for several months, and at Plainview he was not to be denied. On a high scoring lane condition, he fired a 749 scratch series plus 51 to qualify for the semis, and averaged a respectable 249 for the entire tournament. In my new format, and for only a $60 entry fee, Carlos pocketed the guaranteed $600 for first place.

Welcome, Karen Farley, Diana Coppola, Irvin Cabarris, & Marquita Youngblood to my club...

One in four qualified in the first squad, and one in five made the semis in the second squad generating a one in four overall cashing ratio.
My members seemed to like the new format, and were pleased with the prize fund payout.

On Feb. 19th my popular doubles event will be at Farmingdale Lanes with $1,200 being paid (Team) for first place for only a $140 team entry fee.

First, I want to thank Maz Farina, the GM and Mark, the owner for providing great lane conditions and overall accommodations

Dale Alberino fires 300 in his final game to edge a charging Matthew Rose to win the six game New Years Day marathon at Baldwin Lanes! Dale has two titles in the seven years that he has been bowling in my club, and rarely misses an event. He has never won a marathon, but today he averaged a robust 243 (scratch) for the six game block! When he shot the 300, I think his wife Mary, was more nervous then he was! Congratulations again to Dale on his third NABI club title. Your LIUSBC 300 game award is being processed, and will be given to you at a future even

This was my first year end tournament Of champions & runner up event, and although there were quite a few 'no shows', I know it will grow next year. 26 Champions and second place finishes competed for over $1,800 in prize monies for only a $40 entry fee. Kyle Roberts was declared the champion as he posted a 279 scratch game plus 18 pins handicap as he claimed the $800 plus the plaque created by Eddie Barnett of Skor-Mor Bowling Supplies.

I have made some requested changes by my members as we move into 2012, and I wanted to share them with you...

- First place guarantee has now been increased to $600.
The 1PM squad leader is now seeded directly into the championship shootout.
- One in four will advance in the 1PM squad.
- One in five will advance in the 3PM squad.
- The Senior division has been dropped.
- One in three women (for the day) will still advance to the semis.
- Entry fee for both squads will still be only $60.

+++ All members averages will be reviewed & adjusted, either plus or minus, prior to my next tournament on Jan.12, 2012 at Baldwin Lanes.+++
My goal in 2012 is to make NABI the premier handicap club on the Island, and with your comments and suggestions
I look forward to making this happen.

Happy Holidays to all my members, there families and friends.
