8TH ANNUAL ROCK HILL CLASSIC MIXED HANDICAP TOURNAMENT
1. All bowlers must be adult USBC members in good standing... Entrants must show current USBC membership cards or must pay current USBC dues for an unattached membership prior to bowling.
2. Handicap will be 90% of 210; 40 pins max men – 50 pins max women. You will use highest final 2008- 2009 Winter League average of 21 or more games. If no previous winter season average, an entrant shall use the highest USBC sanctioned 2009 Summer league, (21) games or more, or 2009 -2010 Winter league (21) games average as of November 7, 2009. Entrants not qualifying under these rules must bowl scratch.
3. Teams will consist of 4 members, 2 men and 2 women. Doubles will consist of one woman and one man. Bowlers may re-enter the team event, but no more than 2 players on one team can place, more than once in the prize list for position standings. Bowlers may re-enter doubles but may cash only once with the same partner.
4. A team or doubles entrant may re-enter the tournament on special assigned squads provided one or more have bowled in the tournament prior to the re-entry. Must re-enter at least 1 hour prior to squad.
5. The team and doubles line-up will be assigned order of bowling, as is shown on the entry form. No changes to line-up will be allowed once they are entered.
6. Entries close midnight Oct 13, 2009 (except for re-entry in special squads assigned). After an entry has been accepted by the Tournament Manager, entry fees cannot be refunded. The Tournament Manager reserves the right to reject any entry.
7. Date will be assigned on first come first serve basis. Entries will be scheduled based on postmark. Each entry must indicate at least two different choices of dates and times, if any of the two requested dates are assigned to your team or doubles, there will be no changes.
8. Additional squads may be added during the course of the Tournament. No squad may be added after final squad.
9. Substitutes will be allowed as long as they are eligible and checked in, with verification of average, one hour before time, scheduled to bowl. This rule will be strictly enforced. No substitutions will be allowed (30) minutes prior to any shift. No Exceptions. Substitute will bowl in position of original bowler – no changes to the line-up.
10. If a bowler is late for any event, a score of zero (0) will be given her or him for each frame missed. All bowlers must be up and ready to bowl when it’s their turn, otherwise they will be given a score of zero (0).
11. Team captains are responsible for informing their teammates to be at the bowling center one hour before assigned squad time, and all the USBC & Tournament Rules.
12. Telescores will be official scores. Team captains for team events and individuals for doubles, must sign official score sheets.
13. Prize money will be awarded one (1) prize for each ten (10) entries in teams and doubles event. All cash prizes will be awarded on a Handicap basis.
14. Prize checks will be sent to team captains within 30 days after the close of the tournament. Prize checks not cashed within (60) days will not be honored by tournament committee.
15. Re-bowling tournament games or frames: Scores lost due to power failure or mechanical failure must be re-bowled. (USBS Rule 327c) No Money will be refunded. Any appeal or protest regarding tournament scores shall be made in writing to the Tournament Manager. The action of the Tournament committee shall be final unless an appeal is made in writing in accordance with USBC Rules.
16. USBC Rules: 319a (2). The 10 pin Rule will apply. 319c Average Adjustments (Rerating). A bowler whose tournament scores require an adjustment must submit the adjusted average in writing before they roll the first ball in tournament play. 319d Reporting prior Prize Winnings and 319e (2) Average Adjustment for Entry. The average of a bowler may be adjusted before the entrant bowl in any event. Failure to comply with either of these provisions shall be cause to forfeit tournament entry fee and prize winnings. All participants must be familiar with Tournament Rules.
17. Bowlers are responsible for verifying their own average. Whether submitted by the team captain or others. If the submitted average is lower than required and results in a lower classification or more handicap, the bowler score will be disqualified. Any change in submitted average must be made before the bowler roll the first ball in tournament play.
18. Premature termination of the tournament brought about by war, national emergency causes relating thereto or there from fire, natural disaster or any other reason beyond the control of the ROCK HILL CLASSIC shall cause, to the extent required thereby, all advertised prizes, guarantees or otherwise, to be prorated in accordance with their number of entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time of such termination.
19. Any rules not covered within shall be governed by USBC Rules.
