River City Doubleheader Singles Tournament
General Rules
1. This event will be certified thru USBC. Non-Members may purchase membership for $21.00.
2. Pre-Registration not required.
3. Tournament Dire tor reserves the right to refuse any entry.
4. Tournament staff requests that all entries follow the ONE (1) lane courtesy procedure in order to help us meet our time commitments.
5. Number of byes, if any, methods of elimination, etc. in order to accomplish workable head to head matches will be determined by the tournament director based on actual number of entries.
6. All entries will bowl 4 games of qualifying across 8 lanes.
7. NO CHECKS. Credit cards welcome.
8. All situations not covered by tournament rules will be referred to current UXBC rulebook. If not covered by USBC, Tournament Director’s decision will then be considered final.
9. Entries will be permitted to enter ONE 91) or both divisions, (Scratch or Handicap), but may only cash in ONE 91) division.
10. Cash ratio will be 1 of 4 entries in each division, including the “Optional 50 & Over division”. Prize fund returned 100%.
11. All prize monies will be based on (80 entries in Scratch division) and (100 entries in Handicap division). All prize monies will be pro-rated if actual number of entries is less.
SCRATCH DIVISON
1. Top 2 scores from each qualifying squad will be guaranteed to make final eliminations.
2. Optional “50 & Over” division will be available. $25.00 entry fee, in addition to the regular entry fee. There WILL NOT be “Final Eliminations” for this division. Prizes will be awarded based on highest 4 game totals of bowlers entered in the category. For Entries bowling more than ONE (1) qualifying squad, Re-Entry in the “optional” division will be required.
3. Entry Fee for SCRATCH DIVISION will be $60.00. (Bowling/Expenses-$19.00, Prizes-$41.00).
HANDICAP DIVISION
1. Top 2 scores (including handicap) from each qualifying squad will be guaranteed to make final eliminations. Plus top Female & Top “50 & Over” series OVERALL (Entire Tournament) will also make final eliminations.
2. Entry fee for HANDICAP DIVISION will be $50.00 (Bowling/Expenses-$19.00, Prizes-$31.00).
3. Handicap will be 90% of 220. There will be a cap of 70 pins per person / per game.
4. Bowels will use highest 42 games or more average from the 2008-’09 average book, If none, Bowler will then use highest USBC 42 games or more average from the current season (2009-’10). Any bowler having a 2009-’10 season average of 42 games or more that is 10 pins or more higher than current average book must us that current average. (USBC RULES 319(A) – 319 (2) – 319A (3) and 319A (4) apply. For entries using current average, it will be bowlers’ responsibility to provide current league average sheet for average verification at the time of sign-in. If none of the above, Bowler will the bowl scratch(220).
5. Tournament Director reserves the right to RE-Rate any entry. USBC RULES 319C – 319D – and 319E apply.
6. FOUR(4) game totals including handicap will determine entries that cash. After guaranteed final eliminations entries have been determined, remaining cashers will be determined on a 1 of 4 ratio.
